What is SAD?

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that’s related to changes in seasons — seasonal affective disorder (SAD) begins and ends at about the same times every year. If you’re like most people with SAD, your symptoms start in the fall and continue into the winter months, sapping your energy and making you feel moody. These symptoms often resolve during the spring and summer months. Less often, SAD causes depression in the spring or early summer and resolves during the fall or winter months.

Why is Bfood good for depression?

B Food helps refresh, revitalize, energize and heal the system. When your body is running low on one or more of the B vitamins in the B vitamin complex, you’re likely to experience any number ofsymptoms, including emotional problems, anxiety, chronic fatigue, anemia, difficulty concentrating, exhaustion, body pain, irregular heartbeat, and excessive physical and mental stress. What our bodies need:
In human health, a deficiency in the complex of food-sourced B vitamins has been shown to lead to sustained low energy, emotional problems (vague fears, paranoia, mood swings, attention deficit, irritability, rage, etc.), PMS problems, anemia, body pain, difficulty concentrating, lethargy, nervous system disorders, hormonal difficulties, heartbeat irregularities and more. Excessive stress, both mental and physical, indicates an increased need for vitamin B found in food sources.

Vitamin B complex is essential for:
• Nervous system, as well as mental and emotional function
• Energy production
• Digestion and elimination
• Blood sugar balance and carbohydrate metabolism
• Blood-building factors (red blood cells)
• All organs, especially the liver, heart and kidneys
• The endocrine gland system
• Production and regulation of sex- and stress-related hormones
• Normal growth and development
• Maintaining the genetic code of cells
• Assisting cell division
• Maintaining mucosal, epithelial and eye tissues
• Many enzyme systems
• Protein and lipid (fat) metabolism
• Synergism with other vitamins and minerals (especially iron)
