I went to see Dr.Siegfried after hearing of his success with sinus blockage problems.
He asked me about trauma I have had to my head in the past. I played rough sports in school, football etc. And had lots of bumps to the head and body. During my Marine corps career, I was banged on my head with a Rifle bolt for putting the gun back together faster than instruction to do so. I have suffered painful sinus infections through the years, could not breath very well through the years. My son kept telling me I should see Dr. Siegfried, so I did and I cannot tell you how wonderful this treatment has been for me. After three treatments I could breath through my nose. I was experiencing sinus infections that were getting progressively worse over a period of close to two years. Each time I had to take antibiotics and was bedridden for days. When the frequency went from every couple of months to every couple of weeks and the antibiotics got stronger and more frequent I tried everything from Nettie pots to nose spray. I went to see two different ear, nose and throat doctors and both thought surgery was the answer. I went to see Dr Siegfried to try his nasal procedure on a recommendation. In our first session Dr. Siegfried spent over 2 and a half hours with me learning all about my symptoms and history. The nasal procedure was helpful but still I was getting sinus infections. He asked me if I had a dental implant, which I do. He insisted that I have it checked out.
Apparently when implants are performed on upper molars oral surgeons do what is called a sinus lift to literally make room in your sinuses for a screw. It turned out my implant was inflamed and very infected. I ended up having the implant removed and almost immediately my sinuses began to improve. I don’t know why neither ENT doctor thought to ask about it, but I do know I was very close to getting unnecessary surgery. By learning so much of my history Dr. Siegfried was able to uncover the real issue that was troubling me. I will be back for another nasal to try to get my sinuses fully back to health.
